Protect Yourself From Clostridium Difficile (C. Diff.)

  • About this Study

C. Diff. is a common bacteria that is a major cause of serious diarrhea in the United States and Europe. C. Diff. outbreaks have become increasingly common in hospitals and nursing homes, posing a significant, even life-threatening, health risk for older adults. There is currently no licensed vaccine to protect against C. Diff. associated disease.

If you are 60 years or older and can answer yes to any of the questions below, then you may be at risk for C. Diff.:

  • Have you been hospitalized in the last 12 months?
  • Have you had TWO Emergency Room visits in the last 12 months
  • Have you received antibiotics recently?

Qualified participants may receive:

  • C. Diff. Vaccine (at no cost)
  • Reimbursement for time and travel

Martin Diagnostic Clinic is now participating in a Clinical Research Vaccine Study for C. Diff.
